About this site and how we choose

Landscape Drawing is an independent site of drawing lessons and supply guides, run by WellTracked.

What this site is

Most drawing tutorials show a finished picture and a few photos of the process. Here every lesson is drawn in stages, with the lines added in each step marked in blue, so you can see exactly what changed and copy the order of work, not only the result.

How the lessons are made

Every drawing on the site is original. The steps follow standard drawing practice taught in art classes and books: big shapes before detail, light to dark, and depth from overlap, size and value. Where a lesson relies on a specific fact, such as pencil grades or the history of aerial perspective, we link the source on that page.

How we choose supplies

We have not tested these products ourselves. Nothing on this site claims hands-on testing, lab results or scores of our own. Instead:

  1. Specs come from makers and retailers. Paper weights, pencil grades and pen line widths come from published listings and maker guides, which we link.
  2. Maker claims are labeled as claims. When a maker says a paper takes erasing well or an ink is archival, we say the maker says so.
  3. Products in the feed are popular listings, not test winners. We say what each one suits.
  4. No scores, star ratings or prices. Prices change daily and we have no test data to score with.

How the site earns

Some links go to Amazon with our affiliate tag. If you buy, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That never decides what we recommend. Details are on the affiliate disclosure page.

Illustrations

All drawings, including the product card illustrations, are our own. Product cards show a product type, not the exact listing.

Who we are

Landscape Drawing is operated by WellTracked, a small publisher of independent guides. We are not affiliated with any art supply brand or retailer.
